PLAYER PROTECTION

TO ENSURE THAT GAMBLING REMAINS A GAME

Since the playing is part of life, we don't want to ignore the other side of our game offer. The social concept of the Spielbank Stuttgart offers support when fun becomes serious, when gambling becomes addiction. Its two main objectives are prevention and acute care.

On the one hand, the social concept should support affected players in identifying, checking and, if necessary, changing problematic player behaviour. On the other hand, our aim is to provide professional help to those affected and their relatives in the event of acute problems. For this purpose we have been using the competence of an experienced partner since 1999: the Evangelische Gesellschaft in Stuttgart (EVA). As a competence centre for addiction issues, it has the necessary specialist knowledge and the necessary local human resources. EVA's range includes, among other things

- hotline
- individual counselling for affected persons and relatives
- discussion groups
- ambulant therapy
- aftercare and relapse prevention
- debt counseling

The main focus of the Stuttgart Casino is to identify problematic gaming behaviour as early as possible. In concrete terms, this means that we contact those affected and work with them to find solutions to their situation. A central goal is the placement in the professional consulting of EVA. If necessary, a suspension contributes to regaining an appropriate distance from the game.
